Another day, another anti-gay crusader found to be a hypocrite.
Miami New Times snagged a great one here. Founding member of Dr. James Dobson’s Family Research Council and board member of NARTH (National Association for the Research and Therapy of Homosexuality), which tries to turn gay people straight, went straight all right—straight to a website called Rentboy.com to find himself a young hot thang named “Lucien” to head over to Europe with him to “carry his luggage.”
A plain ad on Craigslist for a traveling companion apparently couldn’t suffice?
Rekers claimed–put your coffee down first–that he learned Lucien was a male prostitute midway through his vacation.
For a guy who “researches” ways to “cure” gays, he sure didn’t find a way to find plausible explanations yet.
He claimed they had no sex. Ahem.
But even if that claim is true, according to Miami New Times to even reach Lucien on Rentboy.com, you have to jump through hurdles that you would expect truly devout Christian men to avoid like the plague:
I don’t know about you, but in stark contrast to healthy gay couples, this hypocrite is a danger to young ones. Rekers said it himself:
“The inherent nature and structure of households with a homosexually-behaving adult uniquely endangers foster children by exposing them to a substantial level of harmful
stresses that are over and above usual stress levels in heterosexual foster homes.”
Rekers adopted a boy four years ago who is now the same age as hustler Lucien.
That’s just the tip of the iceberg, “Dr.” Just wait until the rest of America delves into your paper trail.
