RIP Peter Graves

It seems strange to bid farewell to actor Peter Graves.  He was one of those celebrities who would pop up on TV or in the movies at a time when you might be wondering “whatever became of?”  We know him, of course, from his years as Jim Phelps in TV’s “Mission: Impossible,” his hilarious career-resurrecting cameo in the comedy hit Airplane! and his subsequent successful return as the host of “Biography.” You probably didn’t know that he had made appearances in movies and TV for over 60 years and during that time he starred in three moderately successful TV series before “Mission: Impossible.”

“Whiplash”

“Court Martial”
